French Luthier Violin, labelled Ch. J. B. Collin-Mezin, 1907, Paris.
Price: £8,500
This is a fantastic violin from a French Luthier, labelled Ch. J. B. Collin-Mezin, Luthier, 1907, Paris
The violin has not been played in years, it just underwent a thorough check up with luthier, who has made a new setup and assured the instrument is sound.
Very comfortable to play, it finds great balance between sound quality and projection. It projects really well in big halls.
It comes with a valuation made recently at J P Guivier, London, for the asked priced.
If interested, I would be happy to sell along with a H. R. Pfretzschner violin bow for £2000.
You're very welcome to try it in London. More photos and videos can be provided.
It comes with a case by W. E. Hill & Sons pictured in the photos.

Rudall Carte thinned throughout wood flute
Price: 6750 euros
Rare offering of a thinned cocus-wood Rudall Carte flute of which very few were produced because of their complexity to make and relative expense. Wood and mechanism in lovely condition. Solid silver keywork and mechanism, characteristic footjoint and ball end on thumb key. Plays sweetly yet with authority. The headjoint made of rosewood was commissioned by Roger Rostron of the Hallé Orchestra from John Wicks of Rudall Carte and sits comfortably at A440 to 442.
Recent overhaul.
Couple of Irish numbers here:

This flute has a modern 'barrel' that will accept your 'standard' wood or metal headjoint tenon!
Note: the headjoint has a very fine hairline on the opposite side to blow hole. As the headjoint is metal lined this has no effect on sound.

Flute: Powell Signature
Price: £5000
Selling this beautiful Powell Signature flute:
- sterling silver throughout
- offset G
- B foot
- cherrywood case
I bought this flute in 2009 and played on it happily for many years. It has a beautiful, flexible sound, very reliable intonation and a great mechanism.
I have been hanging on to it because it is a special instrument, but it deserves to be played, and I need to buy a new piccolo, so here it is 🙂
